Given the plastic degrades to pieces small enough to pass through the stomach into the flesh of fish and other animals, we are already eating some of the plastic we have thrown into the sea.
- Ian Johnston Environment Correspondent
Plastic, one fo the most hazardous pollutants that has polluted all land, sea and air. It takes up most space in landfills, are were wrongly disposed of into the sea and when burnt, releases toxic chemicals into the atmosphere.
Governments all around the world are now encouraging citizens to reuse, reduce and recycle plastics. Hover, there are still tons of plastic bags produced every year to supply to human demands.
One example is the plastic bags supplied in shopping malls that allow you to keep your wet umbrella on rainy days. Some people though reuse their old shopping bags to carry their wet umbrellas.
Getting there...

Logo design
The design needs to be simple and sleek, easy for storage and aesthetically pleasing. Since the target audience is women in their 30s - 50s, I've decided to add floral prints and use sweet pastel colours for the bag.

This is 2 chinese characters, Wúyǔ, which means " no rain". It also sounds like " speechless", signifying the bag being " speechlessly good".
The logo is also minimalistic, only with lines mimicking rain drops.

Final packaging
I've also decided to make the packaging based on the four major races in Singapore, Indian, Chinese, Malay, Eurasian. Each packaging has a significant flower for each race illustrated, together with a well known phrase related to Rain in their respective languages.
Thank you Professor Jesvin Yeo for this inspiring project. I was able to learn about paper, the relationship between objects and their packaging. The packaging gives off the first impression of any item, it needs to be designed with the most thought and effort. I truly enjoyed this class.
