Gloria and the moon

Editorial Design 2019

Project: One and three books

Complete the sentence: A book is...

“A book is a chou-chou”

Chou-chou, translates to “smelly-smelly” as can be a soft toy / pillow / bolster that you receive when you are young as a gift from elders of your home. You do not usually wash your chou-chou, unless otherwise, hence preserving the smell of your childhood, giving you reassurance and warmth. It reminds you of your childhood filled with blissfulness and happiness. It is something that is meant to be kept forever. A book gives you the same type of comfort that brings you contentment and joy. The serenity whilst reading a book is the same as when you are holding onto chou-chou as you go to sleep.

What is in the chou chou?

Thank you Professor Danne Ojeda Hernandez for this delightful project! I was able to explore embroidery for the first time as well as to write a children's book.
