How it started
Virtual interaction prevails today’s society.
The spent in person results in La Kopi sessions at the Kopitiam (Coffee Shops) are always the most treasured time shared between Kopi Kakis (friends who drink coffee together). The coffee coupled with stories and gossips, is the pulse of the bond. It is a daily dose of joy and laughter to start your day right.
What is " La Kopi "?
La Kopi literally translates to "stirring coffee" in Hokkien, a common dialect in Singapore.
It is also the name of my jewellery collection inspired by this daily Breakfast Culture of Singapore that takes place at the Kopitiam.

A common breakfast set consist of the a hot beverage, 2 pieces of Kaya Butter toasts and 2 half-boiled eggs. It usually costs about $3 - $3.50 sgd.
Concept
La Kopi is a collection of contemporary fine jewellery to re- mind us of the shared with our loved ones while sipping on our essential morning coffee. It is a simple morning ritual that is often taken for granted for, only to realise when such precious time is no longer present in the modern society.
Singaporean has a unique way when ordering coffee at the Kopitiam.
The Menu such as Kopi and Bandung can be the name of different series in this collection.

To manufacture the La Kopi collection, the casting method is most suitable.
18K Gold metal accompanied with natural gemstones such as Diamond, Aquamarine, Morgan- ite, Garnets and Tourmaline in Tapered Baguette cut can be used.
I designed a collection that is unique from the ordinary “Singaporean-inpsired jewellery”, that are usually floral and intricate.
La Kopi offers one-of-a-kind, timeless and elegant contemporary fine jewellery, suitable for both daily wear and special occasions
